What's Happening Thursday at Oswego PrairieFest?

Thursday is the opening day of the 2016 Oswegoland Park District PrairieFest! 

The weather looks to be perfect with mostly sunny skies and a high around 80 degrees. The festivities kick off around 3 p.m. and run through 10:30 p.m. Check out these top picks for the day and teh full schedule.

FOR THE KIDDOS 

ME TOO@PRAIRIEFEST From 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Families with children with special needs can enjoy the carnival as it opens early just for them with the Me Too@PrairieFest event. Families who require a modified experience can purchase an unlimited ride wristband for just $10.This event is sponsored by the Oswego Tourism Bureau. 

FOR THE GROWN-UPS

Lucky Boy Confusion 8:30 p.m. — Main Stage 
Chicagoland’s love of this band sent them to the national charts, and they are back to play for hometown crowds with “Hey Driver” and  “I’m Going to Steal Your Girlfriend”

5:00-7:00pm PrairieFest Race Packet Pick Up — First National Bank Event Tent
Pre-registered runners can grab their shirt & bib!

5:00-7:00pm PrairieFest Expo Village
Visit local crafters and businesses!

6:00-7:00pm Princesses & Pirates – Family Tent
Meet your favorite pirates and fairy tale princesses.

6:00-7:00pm Oswego Prairie Winds Concert — Main Stage
Community concert under the direction of Stevan Rexroat

6:00-10:00pm Windy City Amusement Carnival

7:15-8:15pm The Tyme Machines – Main Stage
