Stately Oswego Home Hits the Market

One of Oswego's more notable homes has hit the market.

Built in 1890, the 3,800-square-foot, four bedroom, three bath home at 3614 Wolf Road sits on 2.25 plush acres in the heart of town. It was listed on Tuesday, May 31, for $539,900 and has already seen quite a bit of interest, said listing agent Tammy Sartain with Keller Williams Realty Infinity.

"It's just a great house," said Sartain. "... It feels like you're out in the country but you're only four minutes from downtown Oswego."

The home, which includes a 1,400 square foot heated barn, has been restored in recent years with all the modern conveniences, including a fully updated kitchen and remodeled bathrooms. But Sartain said it's the atrium on the back of the home that is the real showstopper.

"It's full glass with a turret along with heated ceramic floors, so it can be used year-round. It's a room you could just sit in for hours," she said.

For those wanting a closer look, Sartain will host an open house from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5.
