Severe Storms, Rainy Week Ahead: National Weather Service

The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch, effective until 10 p.m. Monday, in Kendall, Will, Kane and other nearby counties.
The greatest potential for thunderstorm is until 9 p.m., according to the NWS. Scattered storms could bring half-dollar sized hail, heavy downpours, frequent lightning and damaging wind gusts of more than 60 mph.
It could be a rainy week ahead, with a chance of more thunderstorms late Wednesday into Thursday, and again late Saturday into Sunday, according to the weather service.
