Apr 22, 2016 09:03AM ● By Steven Jack
A Newark woman driving through Oswego told police a man pointed a handgun at her during a road rage incident Thursday night.

According to Oswego Police spokeswoman Cathy Nevara, the woman was driving eastbound on Route 71 at about 8:30 p.m. when a man driving a black or dark-colored Jeep began following her too closely.

The woman turned north on Orchard Road and the two began exchanging words, Nevara said. As the vehicles drove near the intersection of Orchard and Lewis Street, the woman said the man pointed a handgun at her.

The man is described as white with reddish/brown hair and a beard. The woman said the man also had neck and arm tattoos.

There were no injuries in the incident, and Nevara said it remains under investigation.
