The Kendall County Sheriff’s office is launching new efforts to target its most-wanted fugitives using its website and Facebook page.
Starting Friday, residents will be able to view a list of most-wanted fugitives on the sheriff’s office website, Detective Sergeant Joe Jasnosz said in a press release.
Anyone with information on any of the fugitives can help by contacting the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office at 630-553-5856. Tips can also be called in, even anonymously, to Kendall County Crimestoppers at 630-553-5999.
Along with the “most-wanted” list, the sheriff’s department is also launching a “Fugitive Friday” feature on its Facebook page, Jasnosz said. Every Friday, a wanted fugitive will be featured on the page.
The sheriff’s office cautioned residents against attempting to apprehend fugitives on their own.
“The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is committed to bringing wanted fugitives to justice,” said Sheriff Dwight Baird. “We look forward to achieving this goal through the use of social media and information received from the public. The key to maintaining a safe community is good communication and partnerships with our citizens.”
