Car Driven Into Pond Off Route 30: Police

Car driven into pond

A 22-year-old Plainfield man drove his car into a pond near Route 30 and Treasure Drive at about 2:20 a.m. Jan. 3. The man was not injured and did not receive any tickets, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Aggravated battery

Johnathan Ollry, 32, of Palos Hills, was arrested for domestic battery, aggravated assault, interfering wit the reporting of a domestic battery, obstructing a police officer and resisting a police officer at about 9 p.m. Jan. 1 in the 2000 block of Wiesbrook Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. 


Jason Benedetti, 20, of Sandwich, was arrested for harassment through electronic communication at about 2:45 p.m. Jan. 1, in the 700 block of Cornell, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Disorderly conduct

Alison Tang, 20, of Yorkville, was arrested for disorderly conduct at about 6:35 p.m. Jan 1 in the 400 block of Chicago Road, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Marijuana possession

Jacob Laue, 24, of Yorkville, was arrested marijuana possession, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 8:15 p.m. Dec. 31 near Route 71 and Washington Street, according to an Oswego Police report. 

DUI, underage drinking

Luis Bonilla Solano, 20, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI and underage drinking at about 10:45 p.m. Dec. 30 near Route 30 and Proclamation, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Driver hits deer

A 54-year-old Oswego man was not injured after his vehicle struck a deer at about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 29 near Wolf and Cardinal, according to an Oswego Police report. Damage to the man's vehicle was estimated at about $1,500, police said. 

Girl hospitalized after hitting tree

A 17-year-old Montgomery girl was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center at about 10:40 a.m. Dec. 28 after she lost control of her car and hit a tree near Boulder Hill Pass and Sedgwick, according to an Oswego Police report. The girl suffered minor injuries, police said. 

Mailbox run 

Oswego Police took a report of a resident in the 500 block of Heritage Drive who had their mailbox run over sometime before 1:10 a.m. Dec. 27. There are no suspects in the case, police said.
