For the 11th year in a row, trolley trains pulled out of Santa Station on the Oswegoland Park District’s Oswego Holiday Express. Nearly 2,000 people visited the North Pole on a wet, but warm weekend.
While we won’t remember this year for its sledding, the special event staff will recall the smiles at our snow bubbles, the big eyes that got bigger at the lights of the North Pole, and the hot cocoa mustaches. Santa was delighted by his many requests and Mrs. Claus received countless hugs … and even a kiss!
Our heartfelt thanks are sent to The Village Grind for providing coffee, cocoa, and smiles on a wet weekend. We also appreciated the support of the Holiday Inn Express Oswego, where all the best reindeer have their handlers stay. It was terrific having Joe’s Brick Shop and Premier Printing involved in our holiday project as well.
Thank you to the families who joined us on our magical adventure. We hope Hallie gets her unicorn and Owen gets his terrain twister. More importantly, the Oswegoland Park District hopes all of you have a happy and healthy New Year.
