Student Arrested for Having 'Knife-Like' Weapon in Locker: Police

Weapon at school
A 13-year-old Thompson Junior High student was arrested for unlawful storage of a weapon at about 11:30 a.m. Dec. 2, according to an Oswego Police report. Oswego Police Chief Jeff Burgner said the student brought a homemade "knife-like weapon" to school and was keeping it in his locker. The boy was later released to the custody of a parent, according to police.
Oswego Police released the results of their Thanksgiving holiday Click It or Ticket enforcement campaign. The stepped up enforcement occurred between Nov. 16-29 and the following citations were given to drivers:
- 35 seat belt violations
- 1 child car seat violation
- 1 no valid license violation
- 30 cell phone violations
- 10 speeding citations
David Crest, 40, of 25 Greenfield Road, was arrested for DUI, speeding 30-39 mph over the speed limit and driving with no insurance at about 1:30 a.m. Nov. 29, near Route 34 and Mason Square, according to an Oswego Police report.
Matthew Taylor, 21, of 23 Bereman Road, was arrested for domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of a domestic battery at about 5 p.m. Nov. 27 near Mill Road and Lynx Lane, according to an Oswego Police report.
Racharr Postlewaite, 25, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at about 5:45 p.m. Nov. 26 near Route 34 and Fifth Street, according to an Oswego Police report.
DUI, Leaving the scene
Kaneshka Azizi, 30, of Aurora, was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident at about 8:30 a.m. Nov. 25 near Route 25 and Glendale Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Azizi was traveling north on Route 25 when she struck the rear of a car driving by a Plainfield man. The man's car then rolled over and he was later transported to Rush Copley Medical Center for injuries, the sheriff's office said. Aziizi let the scene of the crash and was found a short time later in the 0-99 block of Woodcliff Road, the sheriff's office said. She was then taken into custody.
Pipe thrown through window
A resident in the 0-99 block of Codorus Road reported to Kendall County Sheriff's Deputies that someone threw a steel pipe through the living room window at about 6:45 p.m. Nov. 25. There are no suspects in the case, the sheriff's office said.
Irwin Joseph, 44, and Dennis Fugett, 35, both of the 0-99 block of Main Street, were arrested for domestic battery at about 7:45 p.m. Nov. 22, according to an Oswego Police report.
