OYTF Successful in First Season in New Conference

Oct 27, 2015 10:05PM ● By Steven Jack
OYTF couldn't be prouder of the results that our football teams and cheerleading squads had in our 1st year in the MYFC. The competition is way greater than what OYTF has been used to in Tri-County. Each week our teams needed to bring their best or they were going to lose. That is why we are so proud to have teams representing OYTF in 4 out of the 6 Super Bowls.
8U (1-3rd graders) SUPER BOWL:
(#1) Oswego Blue 13 - (#2) Burlington Blue 20:
This was a tightly played game between the top two seeded teams in the 8u Division. 8U Blue came up just short from completing their perfect season. They had an absolutely wonderful season and we couldn't be more proud of all they accomplished this year.
(#3) Oswego Orange 0 - (#1) DeKalb 28:
Orange played a solid game against a team that hasn't lost in 2 years. They played their hearts out, like they have all season, and their coaches were so happy with how much this team has grown over the year. They cannot wait to have them come back next year and hopefully win the Super Bowl.
7th Grade PLAYOFFS:
(#2) Oswego Blue 16 - (#3) Kaneland 12
Oswego Blue won in one of their toughest match ups all season. It was a back and fourth game until the second half when it turned into a defensive stalemate. Oswego defense was up to the challenge and now onto the SUPER BOWL!!!
8th Grade PLAYOFFS:
(#2) Oswego Blue 35 - (#3) Oswego Orange 28
This was a great game played between our two 8th grade squads. The game didn't lack excitement and that didn't surprise anyone. These boys have been playing with our against each other for the last 8 years and have built lasting friendships. The worst part of this game is that one of our teams had to lose and they couldn't play each other in the Super Bowl. We personally want to say Thank You to all the Orange Players and Parents for all that they have given OYTF through the last 8 years. You are a great group of boys and will be missed next season. Best of luck in high school. As for Blue, lets have a great week of practice and end your OYTF careers as champions. (#2) Oswego Blue vs (#1) Plano in the Super Bowl!!!
