Limelight Theater Presenting Two Upcoming Shows

The Oswegoland Park District’s Limelight Theater Company is proud to present two great shows in just one week! First up is an original film noir inspired fall show, A Textbook Case of Larceny, written by Ginger Simons and directed by Brian Brems. The show performs Wednesday, October 21 and Thursday, October 22 at 7:30pm at Traughber Jr. High.

The long shadows and dark hallways of Truman Middle School are the perfect setting for mystery in this teenage noir inspired by classic films like The Big Sleep and Double Indemnity. A series of thefts put eighth-grader Casper Keyes hot on the trail of the culprit, but he may be mixed up in more than he bargained for. Try to solve the case along with Casper in this original Limelight mystery. 

Cast members include Ava Lamb, Ava Miller, Carson Bierman, Ceci Minder, Elizabeth Garrigan, Gamble Davis, Gia Lostumbo, Grace Misek, Grace O’Reilly, Gracie Anderson, Hayden Hotchkiss, Jake Loveland, Jimmy Harrison, Madeline Munsinger, Mark Melton, Melissa Miceli, Mike Westpfahl, Paige Smith, Paige Woodland, Random Davis, Sadie Gibson, Sadie Mateja, Stephen Carico, & Tessa Melton.

Up next is a radio play version of The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari on Saturday, October 24 at 7pm at the Little White School Museum (72 Polk Street). Horror abounds in this original adaptation of 1918’s silent German film travels deep into the recesses of the human mind. A doctor at a Berlin mental asylum tries to get to the bottom of a series of mysterious abductions, but the truth is more shocking than he could ever have imagined.
