Valuable Sneakers Stolen from Home: Police

Resisting police

Three juveniles led Kendall County Sheriff's deputies on a short foot chase after a traffic stop at about 12:20 a.m. Sept. 5 near Orchard Road and Tuscany Drive, according to a sheriff's office report. One of the juveniles was caught with the assistance of the sheriff's K9 unit. The juvenile was arrested for resisting a police officer, curfew violation and criminal trespass to a vehicle, the sheriff's office said. The two other juveniles in the car were not caught.

Stolen shoes

A resident of the 0-99 block of Seneca Road, Oswego Township, reported the theft of 15-17 pairs of Nike Air Jordan shoes that occurred sometime  before 1 a.m. Sept. 5 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Several other items of clothing were also stolen form the home, the sheriff's office said. 


Genoveva Ramirez, 46, of the 300 block of Century Drive, Oswego, was arrested for DUI at about 1:30 a.m. Sept. 3 near Mill Road and Willowwood Drive, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. She was originally stopped for improper lane use, the sheriff's office said. 

Vehicle break-in

A resident of the 0-99 block of Bereman Road reported to the Kendall County Sheriff's Office that someone broke into his vehicle sometime before 11:30 p.m. Sept. 3. Damage was also done to the car, and there are suspects in the case, the sheriff's office said

Vehicle break-in

A vehicle belonging to a resident of the 0-99 block of Brighton Way, Oswego Township, was broken into sometime before 10:15 p.m. Sept. 3, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. There are no suspects at this time, the sheriff's office said. 

More vehicle break-ins, bike theft

Kendall County Sheriff's deputies are investigating multiple vehicle break-ins that occurred along the 100 block of Scarsdale Road sometime overnight Sept. 3. A bike also was taken from the area. On the same evening, an unlocked vehicle in the 0-99 block of Old Post was also broken into, the sheriff's office said. 

Domestic battery

Savannah Andrews, 18, of the 0-99 block of Van Buren, Oswego, was arrested for domestic battery at about 12:40 a.m. Sept. 1 at her home, according to an Oswego Police report. 

Sheriff's office called after child hit

A 12-year-old boy was the victim of a battery at about 4:45 p.m. Sept. 1 in the 0-99 block of Springdale Road, Oswego Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. The juvenile suspect, who is known to police, fled the area before deputes arrived. 

Stolen truck

Bradley Phillips, 51, of the 100 block of East Rickard Drive, Oswego Township, was arrested Aug. 26 for felony possession of  stolen vehicle parts and theft over $500, according to a Kendall County Sheriff's Office report. Phillips allegedly took a truck from a neighbor's house that had been abandoned for over a year, the sheriff's office said.
