Aurora Police Warn of Potential Child Abduction

Aug 27, 2015 02:08PM ● By Steven Jack

Aurora Police are warning the public to be on the lookout for a man who may have tried to abduct two middle school girls Thursday morning.

The two girls, both of whom are sixth-graders at Jefferson Middle School in Aurora, told police that as they were walking in the area of Lynda Court and Best Place, they were approached by a man in a silver sedan similar to a Dodge Avenger, who told them to get into the car.

The girls immediately ran toward the Walmart in the 2100 block of West Galena Boulevard and went into the store. It appears as though the suspect followed the girls to the Wal-Mart, but kept driving once they entered the building. The girls were not injured.

The suspect was described as Hispanic in his early 30s, with what the girls described as a “chubbier” face. He had longer hair covered with a black baseball cap being worn backwards and spoke clear English with an accent.

His vehicle may have had a possible partial license plate of E-73 and also had a small spoiler on the back.

Anyone with information is asked to call Aurora Police Investigators at 630-256-5500 or Aurora Area Crime Stoppers at (630) 892-1000
