A digital marketing agency started by an Oswego High School graduate has landed at No. 92 on Inc. Magazine’s Annual List of fastest growing private companies in the United States.
Rahul Wahi, who graduated from OHS in 2003, co-founded LLT Group Inc. after graduating from Eastern Illinois University. In the past three years, the company has produced a sales growth of over 3,000 percent. The magazine also recognized the company as 13th top advertising and marketing company in the United States, as well as the No. 5 fastest-growing company in the Chicago metropolitan area and No. 4 in Illinois.
"We have worked extremely hard and built something in the toughest times of our economy. With sheer passion and commitment to our clients and with the mind set of, dream big, hustle hard, we have laid a foundation for years to come,” Wahi said.
To qualify for the list, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent — not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies — as of December 31, 2014. The minimum revenue required for 2011 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million.
Wahi co-founded LLT Group in 2010 with partner Tony Zipparro, whom he met while they were both students at EIU. Today, the company, which is headquartered in Plainfield, employs about 15 workers.
