Charles Brackenridge (Kendall County Sheriff's Office)

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office needed just a few hours to arrest a man they say broke into a Boulder Hill home Friday morning.

Deputies were called to the 100 block of Boulder Hill Pass at about 11 a.m. for a report of a residential burglary that had just occurred.

The victim was at home with her child at the time, but never made contact with Charles Brackenridge, 33, of Aurora, who allegedly entered the home and stole the woman's wallet.

Brackenridge then drove to Aurora and used the woman's credit card several times shortly after the theft was reported, the sheriff's office said.

Witnesses provided a description of Brackenridge, and he was taken into custody without incident about five hours later in Aurora.

The stolen credit card and wallet also were recovered, and Brackenridge was charged with residential burglary, a Class 1 felony. He is currently being held at the Kendall County Jail.
