State Rep. Kifowit Hosting Job Fair

In an effort to help job seekers find work, state Rep. Stephanie Kifowit, D-Oswego, is hosting a free Job Fair on Friday, July 31 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, with a session exclusively for veterans running from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., both at Belle Salle Banquets, located at 1920 E. New York St. in Aurora.
Kifowit is cohosting the Job Fair with the Valley Industrial Association and businesses scheduled to be represented at the event include Johnson Controls Power Solutions in Geneva, Wrigley Manufacturing in Yorkville, Smithfield Foods in St. Charles, APEX Material Handling in West Chicago, Aurora Bearing Company in Montgomery, Continental Envelope in Geneva, Oberweis Dairy in North Aurora, Alarm Detection in Aurora, Sterling Engineering in Westchester, FlexiCorps, St. Charles and Paramount Staffing in Aurora.
Residents will also be able to receive résumé preparation and interview coaching from experts from Aurora University and Waubonsee Community College. Those attending are encouraged to bring résumés for one-on-one assistance.
