What's Happening at the 2015 Kendall County Fair?

The 2015 Kendall County Fair gets underway this week at the fairgrounds on Route 71 in Yorkville. 

Several new events have been added to the fair this year, including ice cream, competitive food and photo contests. Regular favorites like the truck and tractor pull also will return this year. 

Preparations for this year's fair started Tuesday, but the big attractions begin Thursday. 
Here's a look at some of this year's scheduled highlights, along with other information you will need to know before heading out. 


Thursday July 30
11 a.m. 14th Annual Horse and Pony Western Speed Show, Grandstand
Noon Official Fair Opening, Flag Poles
4 p.m. Poultry Show, Poultry Building
5 p.m. Photo Contest, Smith Hall 
9-11 p.m. Ethan Bell Band  (Contemporary Country), Family Stage

Friday, July 31
9 a.m. Rabbit Show, Rabbit Tent
4:45 p.m. 2015 Fair King and Queen Crowning, Family Stage
5 p.m. Open Mic Karaoke, Family Stage/Beer Garden
6 p.m. Karaoke Finals, Family Stage/Beer Garden
6 p.m. Truck and Tractor Pull Finals, Grandstand
9 to 11 p.m. Recycle the Day Band (Classic Hits), Family Stage

Saturday, Aug. 1
9:30 a.m. 4-H Cat Show, Smith Hall

Sunday, Aug. 2

Megapass (includes fair entry and all-day carnival rides) $20 adults, $8 children under 5
Day pass for fair only $8 adults, $4 children (5-13), $5 seniors
4-day pass for fair only $24 adults, $12 children, $16 seniors
All Day pass carnival only (requires fair entry pass) $12 adults, $16 children 5-13, $15 seniors


On July 30, Starting at 6 a.m. until approximately 7 p.m. on August 2nd, 2015, Highpoint Road in Kendall Township between Illinois State Route 71 and Legion Road, will have a temporary traffic flow change to facilitate expected heavy traffic congestion and safety concerns due to the attendance expected at the annual Kendall County Fair.
