The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed home invasion that took place Friday afternoon.
Police from Oswego, Montgomery, Yorkville and the Sheriff’s Office responded at about 2:55 p.m. to a call of shots fired in the 0-99 block of East Larkspur in Bristol Township.
A resident of the home was able to escape the home and call 911, reporting that four suspects armed with a handgun had broken into the home.
According to a report in the Aurora Beacon News, the four fled on foot before officers arrived, but were taken into custody a short distance from the home. The three men and one woman also may have been involved in a robbery earlier Friday in Kendall County, the Beacon reported.
No injuries were reported, and no other details are being released until the conclusion of the investigation, the sheriff’s office said.
