The Village of Oswego Police Department is reminding the public to expect increased traffic congestion and delays in Oswego Friday May 22, Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 due to the Oswego Soccer Festival.

The games will be held at PrairieFest Park on the south side of Oswego High School. Motorists should expect delays in particular while traveling on Route 71, between Route 34 and Forest Avenue. Delays will also occur on Washington Street/Plainfield Road and Grove roads near this event.

Motorists should strongly consider alternate routes around these areas if they are not attending the Oswego Soccer Festival. Alternate routes to consider using would be Route 34 through downtown Oswego to avoid Route 71.

Entry into the Oswego High School south lot at Route 71 and Franklin Street will be prohibited. Players/Visitors for this event are asked to enter the event from Wooley Road and follow the posted signs for traffic routes and parking.
