Army SPC Danny Domres turned himself in to Army officials Sunday evening.

A graduate of Oswego High School has been reported missing from the U.S. Army base where he was stationed.

Army SPC Danny Domres, a 2012 graduate of Oswego High School, has been considered AWOL from Fort Carson, Colorado since Monday, May 11, when he apparently walked off the base, according to his mom, Julie Domres.

Danny may be suffering from post traumatic stress disordered after serving for nine months in Afghanistan in late 2012 and early 2013, and Julie said his superiors are concerned about his safety.

"He's gotten into some trouble with the Army lately, and I guess he had an alcohol test that day," she said. "After the test, he hasn't been seen since."

Julie and her family moved to Minnesota in 2012 shortly after Danny graduated. They lived for nine years in Oswego.

Danny had been doing well after returning from Afghanistan, but started having trouble after being transferred from Fort Knox, Kentucky, to Fort Carson.

"This is really out of character for him. He's never done anything like this before," Julie said. "Everything's kind of gone down hill since he got transferred."

Danny still has friends in the Oswego area that he may reach out to, though Julie said he hasn't really contacted anyone in the last six months.

In Oswego, Danny was involved in Boy Scouts, basketball and football. He also attended Thompson Junior High, Julie said. Danny has also become an accomplished runner in recent years. While stationed at Fort Knox, he won a 2014 10-mile race in a time of 56:15.42.

Anyone who may have heard from Danny or know of his whereabouts is asked to call 630-200-6766 or 612-718-2333. He is described as 5-feet 9-inches tall, 155 pounds and was last seen wearing his Army Combat Uniform.

"We just need to find him and get him some help," Julie said. "We really hope that he calls us or one of his friends."
