OHS Artists Win National Honors

Oswego High School student artists Briana Avalos and Hannah Loeffelholz recently won a combined four medals at the Scholastic National Art & Writing Awards. 

Briana won the Digital Art Gold Medal for her work Life's Paper Thin. Hannah's piece, know your enemy, was awarded a Drawing Gold and American Vision Medal. Her piece Waves won a Mixed Media Silver Medal.

Only 1 percent of 300,000 pieces submitted to this national contest receive awards. Hannah's American Vision Medal was chosen from over 2,800 entries.

The two will receive their honors at a ceremony at New York City's Carnegie Hall in June.
