PrairieFest is looking for help.
The Oswegoland Park District is seeking a whole crew of volunteers to help host PrairieFest, taking place this June 18-21. Adults as well as youth aged 12 and up are invited to be a part of a long favored tradition in town and give a couple of hours to coordinating the community festival over Father’s Day weekend.
Whether showing up to pitch in, or bringing a friend, family member, or a big community group, there is something for everyone. Each volunteer shift is three hours of appreciated assistance.
Junior High students can help keep our grounds safe and clean as a member of our grounds crew, while High School and College students can be an important member of our parking crew. Adult volunteers are always needed to help greet our festival guests, serve beer, or drive courtesy shuttles. Additional volunteer opportunities include the helping with Sunday’s 5K PrairieFest race or the parade.
All volunteers will receive the jade 2015 volunteer t-shirt. Youth volunteers earn community service credit towards their scholastic, athletic, or religious commitments.
Sign up is easier in 2015 online through the PrairieFest website. Interested volunteers are encouraged to visit prairiefest.com/volunteers to schedule their PrairieFest. For additional questions, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator, Cori Veverka, at email@example.com or 630-554-4433.
