Members of the Community Unit School District 308 robotics team Gear it Forward 2338 recently won the most prestigious award given at the Midwest Regional Robotics Tournament.
The team is comprised of Oswego High School (OHS) and Oswego East High School (OEHS) students, who took home the Chairman’s Award. They are now headed to the World Championships in St. Louis April 22-25.
Over 2,800 teams compete worldwide, and the Gear it Forward robot is ranked 16th for overall points in competitions this year, and will be competing against teams from all over the world.
These students and volunteer mentors have put in 5-6 days per week during build season, and worked hard for this award.
