Man Arrested After DUI Accident with State Trooper: Police

DUI accident involving State Trooper
Leonel Magana, 27, of Aurora was arrested for DUI, illegal transportation of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and disobeying a stop sign at about 2:50 a.m. April 12, according to an Oswego Police report. Magana was involved in a two-car accident with an Illinois State Trooper at Jackson and Madison streets, police said.
Rebecca Mercado, 20, of Plainfield, was arrested for marijuana and paraphernalia possession at about 11 p.m. April 11 at Harvey Road and Townsend Drive, according to an Oswego Police report.
Police break up fight at Civic Center
Oswego Police were called to the Oswegoland Park District Civic Center for a report of a fight between four people at about 1:30 p..m. April 10. No one was arrested, but the fight involved two 18-year-olds and one 17-year-old and a 16-year-old, police said.
Burglary to vehicle
A resident in the 200 block of Lombardy Lane reported someone broke into their car sometime before 9 a.m. April 9, according to an Oswego Police report. There was no value of items taken.

A resident in the 200 block of Fox Chase Drive reported someone broke into their car sometime before 9:30 a.m. April 8, according to an Oswego Police report. About $150 worth of items were taken from the car, police said.
A two-car head-on collision at about 6:20 p.m. April 7 at Wolf’s Crossing Road and Bluegrass Parkway sent one person to the hospital, according to an Oswego Police report. One driver was ticketed for failure to reduce speed avoid an accident and improper lane usage while a passenger in the other car was taken to the hospital for injuries, police said.
Brandon Clausel, 21, of Sheridan, was arrested for DUI, no valid driver’s license and disobeying a traffic control device at about 4:40 a.m. April 7 at Parkers Mill and Washington Street, according to an Oswego Police report.
A 17-year-old Aurora girl was arrested for speeding more than 40 mph over the speed limit at about 4:10 p.m. April 7 at Orchard Road and Tuscany Trail, according to an Oswego Police report.
James Taylor, 37, of Naperville, was arrested for marijuana possession at about 10:50 p.m. April 6 at Madison Street and Fuller, according to an Oswego Police report.
Aggravated domestic battery
Mark Peal, 58, of Yorkville, was arrested for aggravated domestic battery at about 10:45 p.m. April 6 in the 800 block of Van Emmon Road, Oswego Township, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Peal allegedly struck a family member, the sheriff’s office said.
