Child Approached by Stranger Asking to Give a Ride

The Kendall County Sheriff's Office is investigating a child being approached for a ride by a stranger in Boulder Hill Monday morning. 

According to the Sheriff's Office, an 11-year-old was walking near Saugatuck Road and Circle Drive East at about 8:30 a.m. when he was approached by a man in a blue Dodge Caravan with Illinois plates 5124647.

The man asked the child if he needed a ride. The child said no and the man drove away, the sheriff's office said. 

The man is described as white, 30-40 years old, with brown hair.

Police said this appears to be an isolated incident, and no other cases have been reported.
