High-Dollar Items Stolen from Oswego Businesses: Police

Drew Anderson, 25, of the 300 block of Barnaby Drive, Oswego, was charged with domestic battery at about 10:20 p.m. Nov. 8 at his home, according to an Oswego Police report.
Richmond Plumley, 22, of Yorkville, was charged with DUI at about 2:30 a.m. Nov. 8 at Route 34 and Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report.
Floor scrubber stolen
Oswego Police are investigating the theft of a floor scrubber from the Oswego Meijer store that occurred sometime before 4 p.m. Oct. 28 and 1:15 p.m. Nov. 7. The scrubber is valued at $10,000, police said.
Daniel Arciga, 23, of Aurora, was charged with speeding at about 5:45 a.m. Nov. 7 after Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies clocked him driving 111 mph in a 50 mph zone near Wolf’s Crossing and Route 30. He was taken into custody without incident.
A 17-year-old Montgomery girl was charged with theft at Oswego High School on Nov. 7, according to an Oswego Police report. The theft was alleged to have occurred on Nov. 5.
Ardelean Gregory, 54, of Yorkville, was charged with retail theft at the Oswego Speedway gas station at about 6:30 a.m. Nov. 4, according to an Oswego Police report.
Car parts scam
An Oswego man reported being scammed out of about $4,000 Nov. 3 after ordering car parts and never receiving them. Oswego Police are investigating the incident.
Thefts to vehicles
Oswego Police are investigating theft from three vehicles while they were parked at the YMCA at about 7 p.m. Nov. 5. At least $600 in items were stolen, police said.
Oswego Police are investigating a case of an Oswego man being scammed out of $2,850 over the internet. The scam was reported to police Nov. 3.
Michele McGrath, 43, of Orland Park, was charged with DUI and parking where restricted at about 7:20 p.m. Nov. 2 in the 500 block of Woodland Way, according to an Oswego Police report.
A business in the 1000 block of Weisbrook Drive reported the theft of a car trailer sometime before 1:15 p.m. Nov. 2, according to an Oswego Police report. The trailer is valued at about $4,000.
