An Oswego man was injured after hitting a deer in unincorporated Kendall County Thursday night.

The 33-year-old man was traveling south on Ridge Road near Simons Road at about 8 p.m. when a deer ran out in front of his vehicle, the Kendall County Sheriff's Office said.

The man could not stop in time before hitting the deer, the sheriff's office said.

The driver sustained injuries in the crash, and was taken to Rush Copley Medical Center by Oswego Fire Protection District ambulance for treatment.
