Oswego Man Charged in Armed Home Invasion: Police

Oswego Police overnight released the name of the man charged with breaking into a home in the 400 block of Majestic Lane at about 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Juanmontiz Dunn, 20, of the 300 block of McGrath Drive, has been charged with three felonies and two misdemeanors after breaking into the home, which at the time was occupied by one female resident, police said. 

According to police, Dunn was armed with a BB handgun when he broke into the home. Dunn fled the home on foot before police arrived, running back to his own home a short distance away. 
Dunn stayed inside the home before police took him into custody at about 2:15 p.m., police said.

The incident caused police to lockdown Churchill Elementary, Plank Junior High, Oswego East High School and Brokaw Early Learning Center for about an hour. 

Dunn is charged with attempted felony home invasion, armed violence and criminal trespass. He was also charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. 

He remains in custody at the Kendall County Jail.
