Village of Oswego

The village of Oswego is inviting residents to a Comprehensive Plan open house at Village Hall from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.

The village is in the process of updating its current Comprehensive Plan, and a large part of that is to determine how to best develop the downtown. The overall goal of the plan is to "strengthen Oswego’s position in the post-recession economy in the region," the village stated.

The village is partnering with a group of consultants to help determine "bold and economically viable concepts" for the downtown, the riverfront and other sites around town. The open house will include models for discussion and feedback on those areas.

Resident input is welcome and encouraged.

The evening also will include a slideshow presentation with conceptual plans for the Downtown, said Rod Zenner, community development director.
