Storage Facility Targeted by Thieves: Police

Storage facility break-ins
Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating several break-ins that occurred at the Public Storage facility at 184 Route 30 sometime before 7 a.m. Oct. 12. According to reports, several vehicles, trailers and storage units were broken into.
Jose Barron Jr. 26, of 142 Circle Drive East, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 2:10 a.m. Oct. 12 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The report states Barron fought with a family member.
Anthony Cikauskas, 48, and Rebecca Payne, 46, both of 21 Greenbrier, Oswego Township, were both charged with domestic battery about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 11 at their home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. Both were taken to the Kendall County Jail.
Hit and run
Oswego Police are investigating a hit and run accident that occurred sometime before 9:15 p.m. Oct. 11 in the 100 bllock of Northampton Drive. According to police a car left the street and ran up into a yard and struck a tree. The car left the road again and damaged more grass in the same area. Anyone with information on this is asked to call the Oswego Police at 630-551-7300.
A resident in the 300 block of Stoneleigh Drive reported someone broke into her home sometime before 11:30 a.m. Oct. 10. About $100 in items were missing, police said.
A resident in the 0-99 block of Ashlawn Avenue reported someone broke into his garage sometime before 8 a.m. Oct. 11 and stole a snowblower worth about $350, police said. A neighbor also reported catching someone on video surveillance on his back patio at about 11:30 p.m. the night before.
Woman injured at gas station
A 37-year-old Oswego woman was injured at about 7:30 p.m. Oct. 10 after a vehicle left in neutral rolled into her at the Marathon Gas Station at 1 Boulder Hill Pass, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The woman was treated on the scene for her injuries. The car also damaged a nearby food display stand.
Oswego Police responded to the Crazy Bull Bar and Grill at about 1 a.m. Oct. 10 for a report of a fight involving 15-20 people. No arrests have been made, but according to reports, a man did receive a cut to his arm.
Home repair fraud
Oswego Police are investigating a home repair fraud that occurred in the 200 block of Bluegrass Parkway that was reported Oct. 8. The fraud is reported to have occurred in June of this year, police said.
Fulvio Meza-Benites, 39, of 145 Boulder Hill Pass, was charged with domestic battery at about 6:20 a.m. Oct. 8 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Oswego Police are investigating graffiti painted on playground equipment at Chesterfield Park. The incident was reported at about 8:45 a.m. Oct. 8. The paint caused about $200 worth of damage, police said.
A cash box with contents valued at about $2,500 was stolen from a business in the 2000 block of Route 34 sometime before 1:30 p.m. Oct. 7, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Marilyn Woodworth, 47, of 38 Boat Lane, Oswego Township, was charged with domestic battery at about 10:30 p.m. Oct. 7, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report.
Theft charges at OHS
Jose Chaidez, 18, of Montgomery, was charged with theft on Oct. 6 at Oswego High School. No information was provided regarding what Chaidez is alleged to have stolen.
Drug paraphernalia in school
A female Oswego East High School student was charged with possession of drug equipment at the school at about 1:15 p.m. Sept. 29, according to Oswego Police.
