The annual Cross-Town Challenge football game features a fierce rivalry between two Oswego teams, but there was one distinct stand-out on the field Friday night: pink socks.
For one night, the Wolves and Panthers were united by the color pink in honor of Breast Cancer
Awareness Month. Organized by the Oswego Junior Woman’s Club and sponsored by several local businesses, a donation of nearly 200 pairs of pink socks was given to the varsity football teams at Oswego East High School and Oswego High School.
The sponsors for the donation include the following: Oswego Junior Woman’s Club, Emmers Corporation, Kennedy Pointe Restaurant, Committee to Elect Keith Wheeler, Oswego Bears football and cheer and Oswego Youth Tackle Football.
