Oswego Police are investigating a report of graffiti spray painted on the skate park at Chesterfield Park, 139 Chesterfield Drive, sometime before 7 a.m. Aug. 30.

Drunken fireworks at the campground

Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kenneth Wyzykowski, 56, of Yorkville, for disorderly conduct and possession of fireworks after allegedly throwing fireworks at people at the Hide-A-Way Lakes campground at about 5:15 p.m. Aug. 30. According to the sheriff’s department, Wyzykowski was intoxicated at the time.

DUI

Mark Lockwood, 27, of 230 Parkside Lane, Oswego was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident and using an electronic device while driving after a two-car accident at about 1:15 a.m. Aug. 30 at Route 71 and Prairieview Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. No injures were reported as a result of the accident, police said.

Peeping Tom

Drew Anderson, 25, 88 Hillstone Road, Oswego Township, was charged with disorderly conduct after looking into a female neighbor’s window at about 11:30 p.m. Aug. 28, according to an Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. 

Burglary

A Boulder Hill woman reported several pieces of jewelry and an air-soft rifle were stolen from her home in the 0-99 block of Greenfield Road sometime before 7:50 p.m. Aug. 28, according to Kendall County Sheriff’s deputies. There are suspects in the burglary, police said. 

Trespassing

Jacob Neumann, 18, Nathan Wegehaupt, 18, and Scott Sester, 18, all of Oswego, were all charged with criminal trespass to property at about 9:30 p.m. Aug. 27 at 61 Franklin St., according to an Oswego Police report. 

Bike vs. car

A 21-year-old Oswego man was injured after riding his bike against a don’t walk traffic signal and being struck by a car at about 9 p.m. Aug. 27 at Douglas Road and Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. The bicyclist did not have a headlamp and was not wearing reflective clothing, police said. He was taken to Rush-Copley Medical Center for his injuries, and no tickets were issued.  

DUI

Michael Corral, 20, of Aurora, was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and underage consumption of alcohol after a traffic stop at about 10:15 a.m. Aug. 27 at Kensington and Fifth Street, according to Oswego Police. 

Man scammed in car purchase

Oswego Police are investigating a case of a 65-year-old resident being scammed out of about $2,200 after he bought a car online and it was never delivered. The report was made Aug. 25.
