Cell phone causes accident
Kyle Graves, 24, of Chillicothe, Ill., was charged with illegal use of a cell phone and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at about 7 a.m. Sunday after an accident at Wolf Road and Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. Graves was using his phone when he rear-ended another vehicle stopped at the intersection, police said.
Oswego Police broke up an underage drinking party at about 1 a.m. Saturday in the 800 block of Barton, according to a police report. Charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor were Alycia Sather, 20, of Oswego; Eduardo Duran, 19, of Oswego; Denise Lualhti, 20, of Aurora; Yvette Montoya, 18, of Oswego; Johnny Grays, 18, of Aurora; Javaris Ware, 18, of Aurora; Tony Grayson-Green, 20, of Plainfield; Ryan Gall, 18, of Aurora; and Jose Cardoza, 19, of Montgomery.
Theft at OHS
A 15-year-old boy was charged with theft April 25 at OHS for an incident that had occurred on April 4, according to an Oswego Police report. No other details were available.
Daryl Turner, 49, of Aurora, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug equipment after a traffic stop at about 2 a.m. April 24 at Route 30 and Wolf Road, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s Office report. The report said Turner was in possession of crack cocaine.
Valentin, Partida, 23, of 442 Raintree, Oswego, was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at about 12:30 p.m. May 23 at Raintree Drive and Yoakum Drive, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a May 22 court date.
Kerry Watson, 19, of Aurora, was charged with retail theft at about 9 p.m. March 23 at Walmart, according to an Oswego Police report. The value of the stolen items was about $51, police said.
Cash stolen from home
Oswego Police took a report of someone removing $400 cash from a home in the 0-99 block of Maple Lane sometime before 4 p.m. April 22.
Oswego Police took a report of a theft of $6,200 worth of jewelry from a home in 200 block of Willowwood Lane sometime before 9:30 a.m. April 22. Police said the jewelry was taken while the adults of the home were away for the weekend.
