Lightning Strike Causes Attic Fire on Saugatuck Road

A home in the 0-99 block of Saugatuck Road in Boulder Hill sustained about $10,000 in damages in a Sunday night fire caused by a lightning strike, according to a Oswego Fire Protection District news release.

Firefighters were called to the home at about 6:10 p.m. When they arrived, firefighters found a working attic fire that they were able to put out in less than 10 minutes, the release said.

No injuries were reported.
