Men Charged in Family Dollar Robbery

Cedric T. Brown, 23, of the 400 block of Sherman Ave., Aurora, and David L. Adams, 20 of the 1300 block of Pearl St. Aurora are being held on $100,000 and $150,000 bond respectively after being charged in the Monday night armed robbery of the Montgomery Family Dollar store, said Montgomery Police.

Both are facing felony Armed Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon charges, police said.

The two men allegedly robbed the store near Montgomery and Douglas roads at gun-point and fled on foot to a nearby residential neighborhood. Police from Oswego, Montgomery, Aurora and Kane County searched for the men for about an hour before catching them both.

Police scanner reports indicated that the two men were identified by an eye-witness on the scene. A handgun, mask and other evidence also were found, police said.
