Oswego Area Police Reports: March 16-21

James Corbitt, 59 of 20 Rockway in Oswego Township was charged with domestic battery and interfering with reporting a domestic battery at about 2:30 a.m. March 22 at his home, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s office report. Corbitt got into an altercation with a family member and took away the phone that was being used to dial 911, the report said.
A 17-year-old Oswego girl was charged with retail theft at about 7:50 p.m. March 21 at 2700 Route 34, according to an Oswego Police report. The value of the items stolen was calculated at $160.
Joel Rockford 34, of Yorkville, was charged with DUI and speeding at about 11:25 p.m. March 21 at Route 34 and Douglas Road, according to an Oswego Police report. He was given a court date of April 21.
Christopher, Stompanato, 24, of the 0-99 block of Fieldpoint Road in Boulder Hill, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and less than 2.5 grams of marijuana at about 6:45 p.m. March 21, at Fernwood Road and Fallcreek Circle, according to a Kendall County Sheriff’s report. He was also charged with unlawful use of vehicle registration after a random check turned up the registration on his car didn’t match the vehicle description, the report said.
Aggravated battery, obstructing police
A 14-year-old boy was charged with aggravated battery, battery and obstructing a police officer at about 12:30 p.m. March 20 in the 400 block of Lombardy Lane, according to an Oswego Police report. Police had been called to the address for a report of a fight in progress.
A 16-year-old boy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at about 2:50 p.m. March 17 at Oswego East High School, according to an Oswego Police report.
A 17-year-old boy was charged with possession of marijuana at about 2 p.m. March 18 at 61 Franklin St., according to an Oswego Police report. No other information is available.
Wallet stolen while shopping
An Oswego woman had her wallet stolen while she shopped in the 2700 block of Route 34 at about 5:25 p.m. March 16, Oswego Police reported. The value of the loss was estimated at $50.
