Fire Doused at Harbor Drive Apartments

Mar 10, 2014 03:50PM ● By Steven Jack
Oswego firefighters quickly doused an attic fire Monday at an apartment building at 101 Harbor Drive.

According to Oswego Fire Protection District Battalion Chief Jeff Warren the three-unit building was not occupied and no one was injured or evacuated from the scene. Firefighters were dispatched to the scene at 11:57 a.m., Warren said.

The fire caused less than $20,000 damage and was contained to an attic above a top-floor unit. Warren said the units in the building appeared to have undergone recent renovations.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, Warren said.

Fire and ambulance units from Montgomery, Plainfield and Bristol-Kendall were called in for additional backup, Warren said.
